Cloudhouse Alchemy Testing Approach

As part of our development process, we run an automated suite of tests on every build to ensure key functionality behaves as expected. This helps us quickly identify and fix any issues, maintaining high quality and reliability in our products. You can learn more about testing for each Alchemy component in the sections below.

Auto Packager

Automated tests for Auto Packager create a package using a bespoke test application and installer on the following platforms:

  • Windows XP (32-bit).
  • Windows 7.

The package is subsequently tested on the following platforms:

  • Windows XP.
  • Windows 11.
  • Windows 11 Insider.
  • Windows Server 2022.
  • Windows Server 2025.

Package Runtimes

Automated tests for Package Runtimes exercise key application behaviours using a bespoke test application to verify they function as expected on the following platforms:

  • Windows 7 (32-bit).
  • Windows 7.
  • Windows 10 (32-bit).
  • Windows 10.
  • Windows 11.
  • Windows 11 Insider.
  • Windows Server 2008 (FIPS enabled).
  • Windows Server 2008.
  • Windows Server 2012.
  • Windows Server 2016.
  • Windows Server 2019.
  • Windows Server 2022.
  • Windows Server 2025.

Note: As part of our internal quality assurance process, we use a risk-based testing approach. This involves testing specific applications in greater detail on the latest version of Windows 11 to ensure reliability and performance.
