New Features
The following new feature is included within this release of AAV.
Support for Context Menus on Arm64
AAV now supports shell extension context menus (right-click menus) for packages running on Arm64 versions of Windows. Previously, the context menu components were built for x64 only, and an x64 shell extension cannot be loaded into the Arm64-native Windows Explorer, so context menus defined in a package did not appear. AAV now includes Arm64 builds of the context menu components, and the Arm64 versions are used when a package is deployed to an Arm64 device.
Note: Only the context menu components are Arm64-native in this release. The rest of AAV is not Arm64-native. For more information on context menus, see Context Menus.

| Release Date | Version Number |
|---|---|
| 8th June 2026 | V4.7.2606.10 |
PPD-5280 – ServiceSidType Missing from Services.xml in Packages |
|
|---|---|
| Affects Versions: V4.7.2605.60 | Fix Version: V4.7.2606.10 |
| Problem: | When a captured service had a ServiceSidType value (the service SID type, also shown as service isolation), the value was recorded in the application bundle but was missing from the Services.xml file in the resulting package. As a result, the packaged service did not run with the SID type of the original service. |
| Cause: | Auto Packager did not carry the ServiceSidType value through to the package when building it from the captured service data. A value of none was also treated as if no value had been set. |
| Solution: | Auto Packager now reads the ServiceSidType value of each service and writes it to the package's Services.xml, including the none value. Values that are not valid service SID types are ignored. The package is built with Package Runtimes 4.7.2605.4272, which is included in this release. |
| PPD-5366 – Auto Packager CLI Hangs After Installers That Launch the Application | |
|---|---|
| Affects Versions: V4.7.2605.60 | Fix Version: V4.7.2606.10 |
| Problem: | The Auto Packager command-line interface (CLI) did not finish capturing when the application's installer launched the application as its final step, as installers for Visual Studio Code and Firefox do. The CLI never reached the end of the capture. |
| Cause: | The launched application kept running after the installer exited. Auto Packager waited for the whole process tree of the installer to become quiet, and an application that is left running never does. |
| Solution: | Auto Packager now runs the installer inside a Windows job object. When the installer exits, Auto Packager waits 10 seconds for first-run activity to settle, and then terminates any processes the installer left running, so that the capture can complete. The 10-second wait is added to each installation stage. |
Package Runtimes
The following table outlines each version of Package Runtimes that has been released this month, alongside the release date.
| Release Date | Version Number |
|---|---|
| 8th June 2026 | V4.7.2605.4272 |
New Features
The following new feature is included within this release of Package Runtimes.
Support for Launching MSIX-Packaged Applications
Package Runtimes can now launch applications from a package that is delivered as an MSIX. An MSIX-packaged application is activated by its application user model ID (AUMID), for example from its Start menu tile, rather than by the executable path and command-line pattern that Package Runtimes previously used to choose which run condition to start. When an MSIX-delivered package is activated this way, Cloudhouse.Container.Run.exe now selects the correct run condition and the hosted application launches.
Other Enhancements
There are no additional enhancements included within this release of Package Runtimes.
Fixed Issues
No issues have been fixed within this release of Package Runtimes.
